Senior Support Worker
Home Care/Reablement (STARs)
37 Hours per week- Permanent
L07 £20,661 - £24,174 per annum
A vacancy has arisen for a committed person to join the team of senior support staff within the short term assessment and reablement service.
If successful you will demonstrate a willingness to learn to assess the needs of people in receipt of the service. This includes working with Occupational and Physiotherapists to achieve the best outcomes for people.
You will maintain a case load of people in receipt of the service and meet the requirements of the Social Services and Wellbeing Act and the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act when the service becomes registered.
A full induction into the post will be provided; this will include the use of an electronic rostering and electronic call monitoring system and the use of the Raise system.
On-going support and supervision will be provided by the Homecare Manager.
You will be prepared to participate in the out of hours support arrangements to staff and will supervise a small staff team.
As this is a registered service the successful candidate will be required to maintain:
• Registration with Social Care Wales when the register becomes available• An appropriate DBS disclosure certificate checked against the adults and children’s barred lists
