INCOME MAXIMSATION UNIT: APPOINTEESHIP OFFICER L07, £20661 - £24174

A full-time permanent vacancy has arisen for an Appointeeship Officer, based within the Income Maximisation Unit (IMU) of the Finance Department. The post will be located in the Greenacres Office, Rhosddu Road, Wrexham.
The successful candidate will be part of a team that manages and looks after the financial affairs of those unable to do so for themselves and as identified by Social Work colleagues. You will manage a caseload for service-users who live in the community and in residential care; apply for benefit and other payments for your clients; make good alI relevant payments; keep appropriate accounts; work closely with other key personnel, internally and externally; attend meetings; produce reports.
You must have suitable experience in an appropriate financial field; demonstrate an ability to deal effectively with a wide-range of people at all levels, particularly service-users; have experience of using Microsoft packages, e.g. Word, Excel; have awareness of the functions of the other two teams within the IMU (Financial Assessments and Welfare Rights) and the greater Council.
