[CLOSING DATE: Wed, 11 Apr 2018] Borras Park Community Primary School Wrexham, North Wales Head teacher Location: Wrexham: North Wales Start Date: September 2018 NOR: 420 Group 3 L18-24 Age Range: 3-11 Chair of Governors - Mrs. Anne Evans Status: English Medium Community Primary Website: http://www.borraspark-pri.wrexham.sch.uk The Governing Body of Borras Park Community Primary is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Headteacher who can continue to help raise standards and improve outcomes at our school. Borras Park Community Primary School is a well-established large English medium primary school, serving a highly populated residential area in the North Wales town of Wrexham. Pupils are also admitted from the wider Wrexham area to the specialist resourced provision for hearing impaired pupils. The school is comprised of two adjacent sites, which were originally separate schools for Foundation Stage and Key Stage 2 pupils. The two schools were recently amalgamated to form one all through school. There are currently plans and funding to accommodate all pupils on the Key Stage 2 site. The school promotes a caring ethos through mutual respect and individual responsibility. There are well established and effective links with the local community and parents are extremely supportive. There is an active PTA at the school which make an effective and valuable contribution, both in terms of social activity and fund raising. The school is well regarded, and consequently admissions applications are high. There is an experienced and engaged governing body providing encouragement, support and challenge. The new Headteacher will • Be an experienced senior leader with proficient skills in financial and resource management. • Have a clear vision for the strategic direction and development of the school.• Demonstrate the ability to manage change with flexibility and resilience. • Work with the governing body in the continuing drive to raise standards and contribute to the current school improvement agenda. • Have a proven track record of effective leadership and school improvement as well as being able to demonstrate excellent inter-personal communication skills.
