[CLOSING DATE: Fri, 18 May 2018] The Housing and Economy Department requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Quantity Surveying Team.
The Quantity Surveyor is required to support the in-house Voids Commissioning Team manage the financial aspect of refurbishing void properties. The Quantity Surveyor will also supervise a small team providing support on day-to-day repairs and maintenance to Council housing.
The post holder will be expected to have a proven track record in quantity surveying and cost management with a number of years of experience in a social housing environment. You will be required to provide a full quantity surveying role in all service areas but initially there is requirement for the candidate to support projects delivered through the Housing Capital Programme and experience in this area is essential. There will also be a requirement to undertake a project management role when required.
You will have the ability to work to deadlines and work on your own or as part of a larger team. You must also have strong computer and communication skills and will be expected to play an active role within the Assets team.
