3x 37 hour post permanent
LO5 £17,972- £19,446 per annum (plus enhancements)
The night support service (homecare/reablement at night) covers the whole of the County Borough to provide care and support to Vulnerable Adults and children. This may be as part of the Intermediate Care or Reablement services or for a longer term to support people to remain independent in their own homes. Workers will also rotate into Maes-y-Dderwen, the extra care facility currently under construction in central Wrexham.
You will work as part of a team but some of the duties will be as a lone worker, all of the supportive measures, including comprehensive risk assessments, are in place.
The duties include:
• Inclusion in the Mobile response team where you will attend urgent, non medical, calls to people through the Sanctuary 365 and assistive technology schemes.• Inclusion in the uninjured faller team where you will visit people who have fallen at home and following an assessment you may, using the equipment available, pick them up.
Vehicles are provided for staff to drive; these are equipped with a tracking system for additional staff safety therefore you must hold a current, full, driving licence.
The posts must be filled by female staff as they will most effectively perform the substantial personal care required and this is a genuine occupational qualification in accordance with Equality Act.
A suitable enhanced DBS disclosure which includes checks against children and adults barred lists will be required.
You will be required to register with Social Care Wales as a domiciliary worker.
Full training, including QCF level 2 in care will be provided
