Wrexham County Borough Council is looking to recruit 2 enthusiastic and committed Planning Officers; one permanent post in the Planning Policy Team to work on delivering the Local Development Plan and associated evidence base, and one 12 month temporary post in the Development Management Team to deal with a varied case load of planning applications.
With a degree in Town Planning and preferably a chartered member of the RTPI, the post holders will need to be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of planning policy and the development management process in Wales and have excellent communication, report writing and project management skills. Understanding the importance of the Welsh Language and Culture as well as knowledge of equality and diversity is also essential.
