Applications are invited for the above post to be primarily based at Idwal Family Centre but also to be prepared to work as required across both Family Centres. This is an exciting role as you will be the nominated Person in Charge for the resourced Flying Start childcare provision based at Idwal Family Centre. The role will involve leading the childcare group and supervising the Flying Start Child and Family Workers in the group. As the person in Charge you will be expected to run a high quality childcare provision to meet the expectations and requirements of C.I.W. and the Flying Start team that fund this provision.
Ideally applicants will hold a qualification in Early Years CCLD (Level 5 Leadership) as this qualification is essential for the Flying Start provision. However if you have an equivalent qualification in this field; extensive experience of working in an Early years environment and are willing to undertake this qualification through a work based assessor to an agreed timescale of twelve to eighteen months we would consider and welcome your application.
Applicants will be required to have excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills and demonstrate an ability to work with parents. The ability to drive and work flexibly across both Centres covering differing aspects of the work is essential.
