Applications are sought from a Qualified Social Worker (level 3) for the post of Social Worker within the Adult Safeguarding & DOLS team. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a newly developed team as a lead practitioner in Safeguarding.
The successful candidate will have a wide range of practice experience and Knowledge and will need to demonstrate an interest in developing their understanding of Adults at risk in accordance with Part 7 of the Social services well-being ( Wales) Act 2014.
The Adult Safeguarding and DOLS team works closely with partners agencies to address and manage risk to individuals who are suffering from, or at risk of harm or abuse. This includes liaising and working in partnership with Police, BCUHB, CIW, Council & Social Services departments and other statutory & non statutory agencies. Therefore experience of Multidisciplinary working would be an advantage. An understanding of DOLS would be desirable however this is not essential for the post.
The post holder will be expected to work within a legal framework and to be able to apply this into practice to minimise risks to individuals. It is essential that the post holder has experience of working with adults who are at risk and who are confident in addressing and managing risk. The team operate in a person centred way to ensure that the person remains central to the process therefore the successful candidate would be expected to demonstrate this in their practices.
