The successful candidate will be part of an experienced and supportive team and will assist in its approach to providing a social work service to children who are cared for and supported by the authority through its Fostering Service.
The team’s purpose is to recruit, train and supervise sufficient foster carers to meet the identified placement needs of looked after children within Wrexham County Borough.
The team recruits, assesses, trains, (through the Qualification Credit Framework - QCF), supports and supervises foster carers. We match looked after children to foster carers with the aim of matching the most suitable carers to the needs of the child.
You will have excellent communication skills, proven experience of working as part of a team, previous experience of working with children and / or vulnerable adults, as well as a drive and passion for supporting families and improving outcomes for children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing is paramount.
You will be expected to respond to the needs of children and their families, working within statutory guidelines, policies and standards such the Children Act 1989 and 2004 and the Social Services and Well -being Act 2014.
