[CLOSING DATE: Fri, 22 Feb 2019] Independent Safeguarding and Reviewing Officer (ISRO) L12 £39,002 - £42,806 dependent on relevant skills and experience Full-time, 37 hours Part-time and job-share also considered When children and adults need protection, we need to respond quickly. That’s why we’re looking for someone who can take the lead in co-ordinating an effective inter-agency response. If you apply for this role and you’re successful, you’ll be part of an experienced and committed Children’s Social Care department. This is a challenging but hugely rewarding job, and you’ll have a big role to play in helping us keep people safe. You’ll work with our partners to ensure consistent practice in line with statutory standards, and chair meetings within an Integrated Children’s System – including Adult and Child Protection Conferences, Review Meetings and Looked After Children Reviews. What does it take? You’ll need to have excellent communication skills, experience working in a team, and a proven track record working with children or vulnerable adults. You’ll also need a thorough understanding of professional codes of practice, and work within statutory guidelines, policies and standards such as the Children Act 1989 and 2004, and the Social Services and Well-being Act 2014. You’ll need to be a registered social worker, with considerable practice and management experience of providing services to children and adults in need of protection. Think you fit the bill?
