Advert for Adoption Sessional Social Workers
The North Wales Adoption Service is seeking experienced qualified sessional social workers to undertake a variety of adoption related tasks for the North Wales Region. The roles will include:• supporting adoptees and family members in accessing their adoption records and intermediary services; • providing counselling and support to birth parents• oversight and co-ordination of post adoption contact arrangements including letterbox and direct contact between adoptive families and birth relatives.
The posts can be located across North Wales and may involve travel across various authorities.
Organisational skills and a keen eye for detail will be essential as well as empathy and the ability to liaise and mediation and advocacy skills would be of benefit.
