We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to lead our Electoral Services teams in delivering high quality, professional electoral services and registration services for Wrexham County Borough Council and its residents.
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to take a lead role in shaping, developing and delivering high quality electoral and registration services.
About the role
You will be responsible for providing efficient, effective, and innovative electoral services, including all aspects of electoral registration, successful delivery of all elections and referendums. You will provide professional advice to the Returning Officer, Electoral Registration Officer and elected members and will work in collaboration with others, both internally and externally, to increase public awareness and participation in the democratic process.
To act as the Proper Officer Representative in respect of Registration Services.
About you
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and will hold the Association of Electoral Administrators (AEA) Certificate in Electoral Administration. You will have excellent leadership and project management skills and have extensive knowledge of electoral law as well as a wide and specialist knowledge of electoral services matters. You will be the outward face of the team, leading on public engagement initiatives and liaison with the governing bodies. We need someone who is calm under pressure and able to speak to senior officers and politicians with confidence and authority.
