Applications are invited for the above post to be primarily based at Ty Ni Family Centre but also to be prepared to work as required across both Family Centres. The post is for 22 hours a week for 52 weeks of the year.
The person appointed needs to be self -motivated, reliable, organised, good communicator, trustworthy and who thrives in a diverse role. The experience of working with children and their families is essential.
In this post you will very much be a valued member of the Parenting substance misuse team and the wider Family Centres structure. In your role you will be working with vulnerable children and their families where substance misuse has been an issue. The post involves working with children of all ages by providing tailor made groups and diversionary activities therefore experience in this area is essential. With the parents you will be supporting the family to access community resources and to reduce their misuse of substances
The ability to speak welsh is desirable. The ability to drive is essential in order to enable children to access the groups run at the Centre.
You will have a relevant qualification in working with children and/or families;a NVQ; Award in Social Work/Child Care/Education/Health Level 3 or equivalent
