We are looking for a talented, creative and technically minded individual to join our expanding Schools ICT Support Service. This is a fixed term contract for 18 months as part of a new grant funded programme from Welsh Government.
In July 2019 the Minister for Education in Wales announced a £50m funding programme for ICT in schools. The Hwb Transformation Programme will change the landscape of Educational Technology in schools. As part of the Hwb transformation team in you will assist the Lead Technical Analyst in delivering a new ICT infrastructure to the 70 schools in Wrexham. Principle duties will include the audit and review of existing networks, configuration and installation of network devices.
You will be suitably experienced and qualified but importantly we’re looking for enthusiastic individuals who are comfortable managing their own time, able to effectively prioritise work and recognise the importance of achieving key performance indicators and objectives outlined in the Service Level Agreement.
Excellent problem solving skills are essential in this highly technical post, as is the ability to work on site in a busy classroom or remotely via a range of remote access tools. You will be a good communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills and be confident in providing support to users with a range of technical skills and experience.
