We are looking for a talented, creative and technically minded individual to join our expanding Schools ICT Support Service.
In July 2019 the Minister for Education in Wales announced a £50m funding programme for ICT in schools. The Hwb Transformation Programme will change the landscape of Educational Technology in schools. As part of the Schools Digital Support team in you will work alongside the ICT Strategy Manager for Education and the Lead Technical Analyst in delivering a new digital infrastructure to the 70 schools in Wrexham.
As a senior member of the team you will provide leadership and a high level of technical expertise on Servers, LAN, Security, Backup and Active Directory services and be responsible for reviewing ranges of technical options, providing informed recommendations on technology selection and product suitability.
Excellent problem solving skills are essential in this highly technical post, as is the ability to work on site in a busy classroom or remotely via a range of remote access tools. You will be a good communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills and be confident in providing support to users with a range of technical skills and experience.
