An exciting opportunity exists for a Housing Development Project Manager who is tasked with supporting the delivery of new housing and related regeneration projects in Wrexham County Borough.
The post is a permanent position in the Housing & Economy Department and is based at the Ruthin Road Offices.
The post will provide a key input into both the delivery of the Local Housing Strategy which outlines the priorities in relation to housing and incorporates public and private dwellings and the regeneration of the town centre. The post holder has a responsibility to contribute to developing and managing a range of initiatives to improve private sector properties in the County Borough and to bring empty properties back into residential and commercial use.
The post will develop, contribute and manage the effective delivery of a range of programmes funded primarily through Welsh Government to address empty properties within the County Borough. These programmes will seek to maximise the value of property investments in the private sector, identifying and build on opportunities for wider regeneration within the commercial sector as well as opportunities for new employment creation and training.
The post holder will work with internal and external stakeholders at a senior level. There will be a particular emphasis on submissions for funding to the Welsh Government and other bodies, and subsequent management and delivery of these projects.
