The Initial Response Team (IRT) are recruiting 3 Social Workers. The IRT are the first point of contact for Wrexham Adult Social Care (ASC) and are responsible for the screening of all new referrals to ASC, and undertake initial assessments and safeguarding enquiries in line with the ‘Social Services Well- being (Wales) Act 2014’. The team are also responsible for providing Information Advice and Assistance to the men in the new North Wales Prison (Berwyn) and some Social Workers have been vetted to a level that allows them to work within the Prison environment.
