[CLOSING DATE: Fri, 24 Mar 2017] We require a highly motivated, innovative and hardworking professional for the post of Asbestos Surveyor, The post holder will be responsible for ensuring Wrexham County Borough Council’s obligations under the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR2012) are being met.
This post will undertake detailed asbestos management, refurbishment and demolition surveys on housing and non-housing stock. The post holder shall be experienced in surveying, procuring and managing works on site including the welfare and health and safety of workers on site.
The post holder will be the primary point of contact relating to asbestos surveys, removals and general advice to all stakeholders, not limited to but including tenants, contractors, head teachers and employees and will have daily contact with tenants, local members, Assembly Members, Councillors and other relevant departments. In addition the post holder will be responsible for managing the control of Radon in council properties through site surveys, monitoring and managing mitigation works carried out by contractors.
