Consultant Social Worker IFSS

[CLOSING DATE: Fri, 18 Aug 2017] We are looking to appoint a Consultant Social Worker to join the IFSS. The service works across Wrexham and Flintshire it is structured to work with families where there are parental complexities such as substance misuse, alcohol, mental health and domestic abuse. The successful candidate will complete the day to day management of the team while also incorporating the role of the CSW. The Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act (2014), Part 9 provides the legislative framework for the service. This utilises Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focussed Brief Therapy when working with families where children are deemed to be at risk of significant harm with issues linked to parental complexities such as substance misuse, alcohol, mental health and domestic abuse. To be the right person for this role, you will have excellent communication skills, proven experience of managing and working as part of a team, previous experience of working with complex families whilst working within statutory guidelines, policies and standards.
