We are looking to appoint Social Workers to join the Assessment and Intervention Team. The successful candidates will be part of an experienced and supportive team and will assist in its approach to providing effective assessment and support services to support the safety and wellbeing of children across the county.
The Assessment and Intervention Team manage cases where children, young people and their families are in need of care and support. We provide a duty service, which receives and provides information and advice to callers on a regular basis. The team works proactively to help families remain together and aims to provide multiagency support links to assist families to overcome difficulties they face. We are also required to take action to secure both the immediate and longer term safety of children. Throughout our work we are committed to promoting positive outcomes for the children, young people and families with whom we work.
To be the right person for one of these roles, you will have excellent communication skills, proven experience of working as part of a team, previous experience of working with children and / or vulnerable adults, as well as a drive and passion for supporting families and improving outcomes for children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing is paramount.
You will be expected to respond to the needs of children and their families, working within statutory guidelines, policies and standards such the Children Act 1989 and 2004 and the Social Services and Well -being Act 2014.
In order to be considered for these posts you must be a registered Social Worker or be due to qualify in 2017.
