[CLOSING DATE: Fri, 17 Nov 2017] WREXHAM COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL ENVIRONMENT & PLANNING DEPARTMENT POST TITLE: Enforcement Officer £18,070 - £21,268 per annum 37 Hours per week Permanent Wrexham County Borough Council are committed to the enforcement of parking and environmental crimes such as littering, fly tipping and dog control In support of this operation, we are seeking to appoint an enforcement officer to complement the existing Enforcement Services team. The successful candidate will be expected to visit the Council’s car parks and on-streets locations in Wrexham itself and throughout the County Borough to ensure compliance with the parking restrictions that are in place and to issue penalty charge notices accordingly and also enforce environmental crimes accordingly. The successful candidate should be customer focused and have excellent communications skills. The post holder must have a high degree of tact, diplomacy and integrity as there is likely to be regular contact with members of the public often in difficult and confrontational circumstances. The successful candidate will also need to understand relevant highway and environmental legislation and be able to convey this information clearly to members of the public if approached. The hours of work are 37 hours a week on a rota basis which covers 5 days over 7 (including weekends). A good level of education is required and a full driving licence is desirable for the post.
