[CLOSING DATE: Fri, 15 Dec 2017] 11.5 Hours per week Working within the Heritage Service Wrexham Museum is situated within a beautiful 19th century building on Regent Street in the town centre. Opening hours are 10am – 5pm Monday to Friday and 11am – 4pm on Saturdays. The post holder will be required to work on a weekly rota basis totalling 46 hours per month including Saturdays. The Museum Assistant role is an integral part of the team delivering excellent customer service and a warm welcome to all visitors. Applicants will have experience in a customer facing role and main duties will be based at reception dealing with meet and greet, admission and retail sales, including cash handling and accounting and stock taking . The Museum Assistant will be dealing with enquiries both face to face and by telephone, providing information to visitors about the museum exhibition and displays and invigilation of the public display areas. An awareness of local history will be an advantage and also the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of ages and abilities.
