Work Planner
This post is within the Housing and Economy Department and is to provide support and a work planning function, controlling the work of in-house trade operatives in the Housing repairs section, which is responsible for maintaining 11,300 council houses.
You will provide support to the Housing repairs team, planning work, liaising with customers and contractors to ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of the customer.
Liaising with the stores to ensure all plant and materials are organised to enable the repairs, allocating jobs on Orchard system and ensuring health and safety is maintained at all times.
The post holder will be a self- starting, resilient team worker, with good interpersonal and communication skills along with good I.T. skills and the ability to multi task.
