[CLOSING DATE: Fri, 5 Apr 2019] WREXHAM COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL ADULT SOCIAL CARE Level 3 Social Worker/BIA L09£28,221 - £31,401 37 hours per week An opportunity has become available within the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards and Adult Safeguarding team; applications are sought from Qualified Social Workers (Level 3) for the post of BIA/ Social Worker. Although it would be beneficial to have the BIA qualification all applications from level 3 social workers who are prepared to undertake the training will be considered. The DOLS and Safeguarding team is a supportive environment with a dedicated team of social workers who are motivated and enthusiastic to achieve the best possible outcomes for people. The team work closely with individuals their carers and families as well as other professionals and partner agencies. Therefore good communication skills and an understanding of the person’s situation is essential. The successful candidate will have a wide range of experience and knowledge within the social work field and it is essential that the post holder has experience of working with adults. The post holder will be expected to have a good working knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly SSWBACT 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005 and to be able to confidently apply this into practice. It is essential that the post holder has experience of working with people with mental disorders, particularly dementia type conditions. The team operate in a person centred way to ensure that the person remains central to the process therefore the successful candidate would be expected to demonstrate this in their practices.
