[CLOSING DATE: Fri, 26 Apr 2019] REGIONAL COMMUNITY COHESION TEAM (TEMPORARY FIXED TERM POSTS TO MARCH 2021) We are looking for a team of passionate and self-motivated individuals with the confidence and ability to engage members of the local community as well as partner agencies. Working across the counties of Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham these uniquely varied and interesting roles sit at the forefront of the Welsh Government plans to engage with communities to reduce Hate Crime and Community tensions and to foster good community relations. COMMUNITY COHESION OFFICERS 3 x 0.8 FULL TIME EQUIVALENT POSTS – 29.6 hours per week SALARY SCALE LO7 £23,836 to £25,295 PRO RATA These new positions offer an exciting opportunity for you to work with a range of partner agencies and community groups to contribute to the wide ranging and varied work of community cohesion. You will be part of a team that will operate across the 3 North East Wales Local Authorities (Denbighshire, Flintshire, Wrexham ) to engage members of the public ,with an emphasis on working with harder to reach communities. You will co-ordinate the delivery of a programme of events that bring communities together, tackle discrimination and community intolerances, reduce Hate Crime and help to prevent community tensions. As the successful candidate you will have proven experience of working within an office environment and a community setting. The ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision is an essential requirement of the post. All posts will be hosted by Wrexham County Borough Council, but will be expected to work across NE Wales.
