Electoral Services Officer (FTP -EXT)

[CLOSING DATE: Mon, 19 Aug 2019] Electoral Services Officer 37 hours per week, Permanent Salary G07 £23,836- £25,295 We are looking for an organised and experienced electoral administrator to join our small team. You will need a proven track record of conducting electoral registration and elections and have gained or be willing to work towards the AEA Certificate in Electoral Administration. You must be able to work flexibly, as during election periods you will be expected to work additional hours including evenings and weekends. About you You will be a confident proactive individual with excellent communication and organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail. You must be able to demonstrate: • The ability to deliver high quality work within strict deadlines.• Excellent IT skills including knowledge of using Electoral Services software such as Xpress or equivalent.• knowledge and understanding of Electoral Services processes.• Ability to be able to respond to pressure at peak times As an experienced electoral administrator, you will provide highly competent administrative support to the service covering all aspects of its work including: • Maintaining the register of electors;• Absent votes list and monthly alterations lists;• Supporting boundary reviews and polling district reviews;• Meeting all statutory deadlines of the election timetable You will also be involved in other aspects of our work including some outreach work to encourage elector registration and participation.
