Green Infrastructure Project Officer
Salary: £23,836 - £25,295
We are looking to recruit a Project officer to deliver environmental and social projects in locations across Wrexham County Borough. The successful applicant will be an excellent communicator, organised, with an enthusiastic personality able to engage members of the community vulnerable to poor physical and mental health in appropriate conservation activities.
The project officer will support the physical and health and well being of the local community by facilitating wider use of local greenspace, parks and woodlands. This will be achieved through capacity building, raising environmental awareness, encouraging recycling and reduction in litter and leading active events.
Working with partner organisations including North Wales Wildlife Trust and Keep Wales Tidy the project officer will plan, supervise and manage physical improvements in the green infrastructure across the project area and monitor the success of theses improvements for both people and wildlife. Working with the local community and Friends groups they will develop and lead volunteer programmes, to assist with the care and management of local greenspace, parks and woodlands.
The project officer will require use of vehicle.
