[CLOSING DATE: Fri, 27 Jan 2017] Following our successful implementation of a Category Management approach to Procurement, Wrexham County Borough Council is continuing to developing a highly focussed and commercially driven centralised approach to Strategic Commissioning, Procurement and Contract Management.
Wrexham CBC has already been recognised in the Welsh National Procurement Awards 2016 as the Most Progressive Public Sector Procurement Organisation.
FEEDBACK FROM THE WELSH NATIONAL PROCUREMENT AWARDS JUDGES: was that “This is a very strong initiative, showing that professionalization, and creation of core roles within a strategically-focused Unit will enable a focus on achieving overall goals. The focus on an information-sharing approach across projects and all three phases of the procurement cycle is a major success indicator and a genuinely innovative approach, that provides an example for others to follow.”
Leading and delivering a range of procurement solutions that identify sourcing strategies, incorporate best practice compliance and put in place contracts and frameworks across designated areas of category spend.
