Hours: 21 hours per week, worked during office hours Monday – Friday, flexible to suit the project and the post holder.
The Children’s Social Care Department is seeking a motivated, well-organised and creative part time support officer to help develop and implement the ‘1st 1000 Days’ pilot project in Wrexham.
The 1st 1000 Days project is part of an all-Wales initiative which aims to ensure
1. Optimal outcomes for every pregnancy
2. Optimal development outcomes for each child at their second birthday (cognitive, speech and language, emotional development)
3. That children aged 2 aren’t exposed to or harmed by Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) (further details in http://www.wales.nhs.uk/sitesplus/888/news/40000)
The role of the 1st 1000 Days Officer will be to support the chair of Wrexham 1st 1000 Days Project Group (a local partnership) and its partners to achieve these outcomes through whole system change and building on the strong foundations already in place locally.
The ideal applicant will have previous experience of working in children and family services – health, social care or information & advice.
