The Children’s Social Care Department is seeking to appoint a professional, committed and caring person within its prevention services for families in Wrexham. The Family Support Worker will be undertaking all aspects of family support services across the child care teams. The role will be working directly with families to promote children and young people seeing their parents within the care system, positive parenting, independence, healthy relationships and to keep children safe.
You will have relevant qualifications either QCF or NVQ3 in Health and Social Care (Child Care) or other relevant Child Care qualifications or ability and commitment to achieve the QCF Level 3 within a set timescale.

The Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in Wrexham provides a service to individuals with serious and enduring mental health problems. The service provided is person-centred and actively promotes recovery and independence.
An opportunity has arisen for an AMHP/Social Worker to join the Wrexham County Community Mental Health Team. The CMHT is fully integrated, and comprises Adult Social Care and Health staff. The post is based in Ty Derbyn, Maelor Hospital, Croesnewydd Road, Wrexham.
The team operates within a duty daytime system with access to AMHP for the provision of assessment under the Mental Health Act 1983 and the expectation is that social work team members will be supported to undertake AMHP training if not already qualified.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Business & Investment Team to be part of a team working collaboratively across North East Wales as part of a pilot project to stimulate interest and generate further uptake of digital technologies by businesses, communities and residents within the local authorities of Wrexham, Flintshire & Denbighshire.
The two officers will be employed by Wrexham County Borough Council with one operating exclusively across Denbighshire and the other covering both Wrexham and Flintshire.
These posts are for a fixed term contract until the end of March 2021 and could be a potential secondment opportunity subject to approval from your manager.
The role will be focused on promoting and encouraging wider use of digital technology, particularly amongst micro and small businesses in a wide range of sectors. This will enable them to maximise the opportunity presented by faster broadband in terms of increasing efficiency, productivity and access to new markets.
Officers will provide a business friendly face across the three counties, giving proactive and reactive support to diagnose business needs, assist with formulating ideas, resolving issues, encouraging growth, identifying funding and helping to unlock barriers to growth. They will map the digital landscape both locally and regionally – prioritising rural wards where there is likely to be a need for innovative interventions to facilitate the update of faster broadband services, such as collaboration, accessing grants and understanding the technology that is available or alternative technologies which may solve digital isolation.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Housing Development Project Manager who is tasked with supporting the delivery of new housing and related regeneration projects in Wrexham County Borough.
The post is a permanent position in the Housing & Economy Department and is based at the Ruthin Road Offices.
The post will provide a key input into both the delivery of the Local Housing Strategy which outlines the priorities in relation to housing and incorporates public and private dwellings and the regeneration of the town centre. The post holder has a responsibility to contribute to developing and managing a range of initiatives to improve private sector properties in the County Borough and to bring empty properties back into residential and commercial use.
The post will develop, contribute and manage the effective delivery of a range of programmes funded primarily through Welsh Government to address empty properties within the County Borough. These programmes will seek to maximise the value of property investments in the private sector, identifying and build on opportunities for wider regeneration within the commercial sector as well as opportunities for new employment creation and training.
The post holder will work with internal and external stakeholders at a senior level. There will be a particular emphasis on submissions for funding to the Welsh Government and other bodies, and subsequent management and delivery of these projects.
