We are looking to appoint a Social Worker to join the Looked After Children and Leaving Care Team. The successful candidate will be part of an experienced, proactive and supportive team and will assist in its approach to providing a social work service to children and young people who are looked after by the authority.
The aim of the service is to secure permanence for children who become Looked After and to ensure that children and young people are in placements which meet their needs, reflects their right to safety and security and encourage them to reach their full potential at every stage of their development. This includes supporting all looked after children and young people to meet their full educational potential and to promote their health including their mental health. If the care plan for the child is for adoption the team will work closely with the North Wales Adoption Service to identify a match and place the child with a new family. The primary focus of the work is to safeguard and promote the child’s wellbeing.
Duties within the Looked After and Leaving care team will include working with looked after children moving into independence, completing pathway assessments and plans and supporting young people with practical skills, access to training and education.
You will be working closely with other agencies which include Education, Housing, Youth services and health.
To be the right person for this role, you will have excellent communication skills, proven experience of working as part of a team, previous experience of working with children and young people as well as a drive and passion for supporting families and improving outcomes for children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing is paramount.
You will be expected to respond to the needs of children and their families, working within statutory guidelines, policies and standards such the Children Act 1989 and 2004 and the Social Services and Well -being Act 2014.
In order to be considered for this post you must be a registered Social Worker.

Also, be responsible for the security of the school, including possibly responding to alarm calls.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will supervise Support Workers. You will be a confident leader and work closely with colleagues to develop skills and provide support to ensure the highest quality person-centred service is delivered.
The successful candidate will hold QCF 3 in Health & Social Care (or 2 and be willing to obtain 3 in set timescale); have good interpersonal skills; be able to communicate effectively; and have the ability to make decisions under pressure and prioritise.
They should have experience of working with people with mental ill health and/or disabilities. Previous leadership experience is desirable.

Reporting to the Strategic Assets Lead, your role will be to assist in the management of the Council’s Economic Development Portfolio, to deliver an efficient service with particular regard to the Asset Management Plan for the Council’s properties and the efficient procurement of service contracts and recovery costs.
The role will include marketing the Council’s Vacant Commercial Properties; negotiation of lease surrenders, new lettings disposals, rent reviews and lease renewals; dealing with day to day Estate Management matters and processing tenant enquiries for Landlord’s consent to building modifications.
You will possess a relevant degree in Estate Management.
