The successful candidate will be part of an experienced and supportive team and will assist in its approach to providing a social work service to children who are cared for and supported by the authority through its Fostering Service.

The potholder will be expected to operate within a multidisciplinary framework with a wide range of agencies, carers, support providers and third sector agencies. The ability to demonstrate an understanding of how legislation is shaping the landscape of Social Care in Wales is essential. It is desirable that the post holder has some experience of working with adults who have physical and mental health difficulties.

The Initial Response Team (IRT) is a Social Work team that works in conjunction with the Occupational Therapy Team to provide the Adults Single Point of Access (SPOA). SPOA provides Information Advice and Assistance (IAA) to citizens by identifying outcomes and looking at solutions to promote Wellbeing. There are a range of service providers within SPOA who provide preventative services including Third Sector Community Wellbeing Officer, Assistive Technology (Delta Wellbeing), Sensory Impairment workers, and NEWCIS (Carers Information Service). As part of SPOA, Social Workers in IRT work closely with Occupational Therapists and professionals from other statutory services such as Health and the Police to identify and manage risk to citizens wellbeing and safety.
IRT Social Workers have an allocated caseload of citizens of any adult age, identified as requiring further assessment and intervention.
Being a generic Adults team, IRT/SPOA offers Social Workers the opportunity to work within a multi skilled team and work with citizens regardless of age or disability.
The citizens of Wrexham includes the residents of HMP Berwyn. IRT are responsible for providing Social Work into the prison and Social Workers in the team can have the opportunity to work in the prison following enhanced vetting.

We are looking to appoint a Caretaker/Cleaner to fulfil this key role as soon as possible subject to necessary checks. The person appointed will be responsible for keeping the school secure, possess the ability to undertake minor maintenance repairs, check and maintain operational systems, carry out safety checks as required and ensure adequate records are maintained. As the main key holder, the person will also be responsible for daily unlocking and locking of the school. The successful applicant will organise the cleaning of the school interior to a high standard of cleanliness, having responsibility for specific areas. The caretaker will be responsible for the supervision of the cleaners at the school. They will ensure the efficient removal of waste from the building and the grounds, including recycling, and ensure that the outdoors are kept clear of weeds, litter and debris.
The person will attend the building as necessary outside of normal working hours in cases of alarm activation or other emergency and be available for additional hours during some school holidays if required for cleaning and maintenance. The governing body of Rhosddu Primary school wish to appoint a part time temporary teacher in a Year 1 class. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of national and local initiatives. They will be able to embrace and fulfil our school motto ‘Caring, Inspiring, Achieving’ throughout their practice and support pupils to do the same. Excellent teaching and learning practice and sound knowledge of independent learning are essential.
