The successful candidate will be part of an experienced and supportive team and will assist in its approach to providing a social work service to children who are cared for and supported by the authority through its Fostering Service.
The team’s purpose is to recruit, train and supervise sufficient foster carers to meet the identified placement needs of looked after children within Wrexham County Borough.
The team recruits, assesses, trains, (through the Qualification Credit Framework - QCF), supports and supervises foster carers. We match looked after children to foster carers with the aim of matching the most suitable carers to the needs of the child.
You will have excellent communication skills, proven experience of working as part of a team, previous experience of working with children and / or vulnerable adults, as well as a drive and passion for supporting families and improving outcomes for children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing is paramount.

We are seeking a permanent cleaning operative to work at our clients’ premises at Five Crosses Industrial Estate, Minera. The cleaner will clean changing rooms, corridors, toilets and stairs in production areas, and will provide the high standard of cleaning required by the client.
Principal Accountabilities
The range of work carried out by the cleaning staff covers the cleaning of changing rooms, toilets, corridors, staircases, and other such areas that are in use at the direction of the Area supervisor
1. Carrying out all work to the recognised satisfactory standard and at the frequencies laid down by the company as instructed by the Area Supervisor.
2. Reporting to the Area Supervisor anything that is likely to affect their work or anything they consider he/she should be aware of.

4. Maintaining storage lockers, cupboards and machinery in a clean and tidy condition.
5. Using cleaning equipment and materials in the prescribed manner, accepting responsibility for the equipment used and ensuring the safe usage and storage of such equipment.
6. Signing in signing out each day and completing any required paperwork. Informing the Area Supervisor as soon as possible of any reason affecting your attendance at work.
7. Any other work instructed by the Area Supervisor.

The Attendance Support Officer will support young people aged 11-16 to access and participate in their learning using a range of strategies.
Sucessful candidates will be able to motivate and work with young people are their families and be able to support them to overcome their barriers which are preventing them from fully engaging in their education.
Posts are temporary until 31 December 2020. An extension to extend the posts until 31 July 2022 is being sought.

RESIDENTIAL CHILD CARE OFFICER
Salary L07 £21,693 - £24,657 pro rata per annum
We require a Residential Child Care Officer who has obtained their QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care Children and young people or a willingness to undertake this upon appointment.
You should have experience of working with children and young people with significant and diverse disabilities and an understanding of the management of their challenging, lively behaviours. You will need to be flexible as these posts are required to cover holidays and sickness and may include both day and “waking nights” work according to the needs of the service.

The Governing Body seeks to appoint a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a pupil with individual needs in the Foundation Phase. Knowledge, understanding and experience of supporting physical and medical needs are desirable.
The successful candidate will work individually on a prepared education plan supporting the pupil in class, at lunchtime and on the playground and work individually on a prepared education plan.
