A position has arisen for a Performance Monitoring Officer to join the Children’s Social Care Flying Start Team. The appointee will specifically work to the Service Coordinator and Managers, in addition to supporting the wider Multi-Agency Team.
The post holder will be responsible for the collection and analysis of all data which informs Wrexham Local Authority and Welsh Government of the performance of the whole Flying Start Programme of service delivery. The post holder will be required to produce timely statistical evidence based reports to management, to develop and sustain improving performance monitoring, reviewing and evaluation of all aspects of the Flying Start Programme, acting pro-actively on their own initiative, as well as working in collaboration with other officers at a local, regional and national level. The post holder will also be responsible for the management of all data systems used to capture and report data for the Flying Start Programme.
The successful candidate should possess a relevant qualification and evidence of continuous professional development and have knowledge and experience of database systems, statistical packages, complex data analysis and reporting frameworks.

We in the Wrexham team are looking for a positive and creative educational psychologist to join a friendly and welcoming team. Our service provides a nurturing, flexible environment, where different ‘gifts’ are celebrated, where expertise is shared, and where there are opportunities to develop interests. Educational Psychologists who work in Wrexham say that we are a close team where there is a varied range of supervision opportunities including peer support.
Wrexham is an intellectually stimulating place to work in. Open to new ideas, it is a place where we discuss, debate and reflect on our practice, changing our service delivery to adapt to a rapidly changing population where there are now over 40 languages spoken. In preparation for the new ALN legislation in Wales, we are currently working on a more succinct, person centred alternative to Appendix Ds which we will be piloting this year. We are also involved in a range of training programmes including E.L.S.A., Person Centred Thinking, Elklan, Mindfulness and the Student Assistance Programme. We are also fortunate to have developed very close working relationships with CAMHS and the Speech and Language Therapy Service in our area. Each week for example, we run a Drop in with our CAMHS partners.

In support of this operation, we are seeking to appoint an enforcement officer to complement the existing Enforcement Services team. The successful candidate will be expected to visit the Council’s car parks and on-streets locations in Wrexham itself and throughout the County Borough to ensure compliance with the parking restrictions that are in place and to issue penalty charge notices accordingly and also enforce environmental crimes accordingly.
The successful candidate should be customer focused and have excellent communications skills. The post holder must have a high degree of tact, diplomacy and integrity as there is likely to be regular contact with members of the public often in difficult and confrontational circumstances. The successful candidate will also need to understand relevant highway and environmental legislation and be able to convey this information clearly to members of the public if approached.
The hours of work are 37 hours a week on a rota basis which covers 5 days over 7 (including weekends). A good level of education is required and a full driving licence is desirable for the post.

Ysgol Rhosnesni is a mixed comprehensive school in Wrexham in North East Wales with 680 students on roll.
We are seeking to appoint a creative, inspirational and committed individual to teach Welsh to KS3 and KS4 students, with aspirations to lead in their subject area. This post offers an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to continue to improve our expanding Welsh curriculum and meet the challenge of raising pupil performance in an important and core subject area.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with us in striving for excellence in all we do and creating the positive learning environment that enables all students to achieve their potential.
