We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Committee Officer to join our busy Committee Services team to provide comprehensive, efficient and high quality administrative support to the Council, Executive Board and all other meetings forming part of the Council’s political management structure.
You will be an effective communicator with the political awareness to work with Members and Officers at all levels. You will be involved in all aspects of committee administration and will be well organised, able to perform well under pressure with a creative and innovative approach to work and good IT skills.
Ideally, your administration experience will be within a committee administration team. Possession of a relevant administrative qualification, such as a BTEC/HNC or equivalent, is essential.

Experience of work in contract monitoring, performance management and/or programme development, ideally within children’s services, would be an advantage.
The post holder will be expected to build close working relationships with the contracted Providers as well as other departments and organisations in order to progress contract monitoring work and support workforce development across the Sector.

The Community Employment Mentor will provide intensive one to one mentoring to participants to help them identify and take practical steps to overcome barriers preventing them taking up identified training and employment.
You should have evidence of 2/3 years’ experience of providing intensive; employment focused mentoring to a caseload of participants who are experiencing poverty and barriers to employment.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a newly developed team as a lead practitioner in Safeguarding. Applications are sought for the post of Social Worker within the Adult Safeguarding & DOLS team. A level 3 social worker is desirable; however applications from level 2 social workers with a minimum of 12 months practice experience will be considered.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate an interest in developing their knowledge and understanding of Adults at risk in accordance with Part 7 of the Social services well-being ( Wales) Act 2014. It would be advantageous to have previous experience of working with Adults at risk, however this is not essential.
The Adult Safeguarding and DOLS team works closely with partners agencies to address and manage risk to individuals who are suffering from, or at risk of abuse or neglect. This includes liaising and working in partnership with Police, BCUHB, CIW, Council & Social Services departments and other statutory & non statutory agencies. Therefore experience of Multidisciplinary working would be an advantage. An understanding of DOLS would be desirable however this is not essential for the post.
The post holder will be expected to work within a legal framework and to be able to apply this into practice to minimise risks to individuals. It is desirable that the post holder has experience of working with adults who are at risk and who are confident in managing conflict. The team operate in a person centred way to ensure that the person remains central to the process therefore the successful candidate would be expected to demonstrate this in their practices.

We are seeking a permanent cleaning operative to work at our clients’ premises at Wrexham Industrial Estate. There will be three cleaners on site who will work together to provide the high standard of cleaning required by the client. The cleaners will be required to secure the office area each evening.
Principal Accountabilities
The range of work carried out by the cleaning staff covers the cleaning of all rooms, toilets, corridors, staircases, offices and other such areas that are in use at the direction of the Area Supervisor
1. Carrying out all work to the recognised satisfactory standard and at the frequencies laid down by the company as instructed by the Area Supervisor.
2. Reporting to the Area Supervisor anything that is likely to affect their work or anything they consider he/she should be aware of.
3. Ensure cleaner is aware and complies with the Company’s health and Safety and C.O.S.H.H. documents.

5. Using cleaning equipment and materials in the prescribed manner, accepting responsibility for the equipment used and ensuring the safe usage and storage of such equipment.
6. Signing in signing out each day and completing any required paperwork. Informing the Area Supervisor as soon as possible of any reason affecting your attendance at work.

Flying Start is a Welsh Government initiative which offers a real opportunity to make a difference to children under 4 and their families living within certain areas of Wrexham, who are most in need of support.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Child and Family Worker experienced in early years to work in the Flying Start childcare provision at the Idwal Family Centre but may work across both settings where required. The post will involve working with children with additional needs who require support so that they can access the group provision. The successful post holder will join a friendly and enthusiastic team dedicated and committed to providing a stimulating environment for two to three year olds.
You will have a QCF Level 3 qualification or other relevant qualification.
