You will lead and manage a small team to design and deliver a North East Wales (Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham) Community Cohesion plan that meets the requirements of the Welsh Government Community Cohesion agenda, bringing communities together and tackling discrimination and community intolerances in order to reduce Hate Crime and help prevent community tensions.
This is a multi-faceted role that will involve working at both a strategic and operational level. You will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to promote and empower communities and develop strong and effective relationships with members of the public, colleagues and partners at all levels. The post holder will require the highest degree of political and equality sensitivity, excellent negotiation skills as well as the ability to produce high standards of written work with the capability to analyse and present data as evidence for strategic and operational plans.
If you enjoy regularly interacting with a cross-section of people from school pupils to community leaders to senior figures in the authority and other partner agencies then this role will offer you the opportunity to enhance those skills. The post will be expected to link with other Regional Co-ordinators appointed across Wales.
