Wrexham Assessment Centre is a very specialist provision with a caring, inclusive ethos. In partnership with outside agencies, we assess children's additional learning needs whilst developing their skills through a suitably differentiated Foundation Phase Curriculum.
Candidates will need to be innovative, hard-working and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude. They will need to have a track record of excellence, empathy for pupils with additional learning needs and the ability to work as part of a large team.
The purpose of this role is to complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. It plays a key role in supporting young people with early interventions on a one to one basis, and on hospital wards as well as delivering prevention activities in schools and Youth clubs.
